LivU is distributed through Google Play and has no official App Store listing, so iPhone users go looking for something similar. No single app copies LivU. Instead we took the features LivU’s own listing highlights and matched each one to apps whose store pages describe something comparable.
| What LivU’s listing says | Apps that describe something similar |
|---|---|
| Pick a region and who you want to meet, then “tap the screen and chat with someone within a few seconds” | Azar: a Discover tab of people who are active; additional country filters with its optional premiums. CR Video Chat: browse profiles of people online, with a language filter. |
| Add people as friends and call them “via direct Video Call” | Camfrog: optional one-to-one messaging that needs mutual contact approval. AnonChat: Premium lets you “call your friends”. |
| “We will translate your chat in real time” | Azar: real-time voice-to-subtitle translation (Google Play). YOYO (Featured): real-time translation on its App Store page. |
| “All video chats start with a blurring filter for your safety.” | Azar says video is paused when its automated tools detect content against its community guidelines. |
| Optional in-app purchases for “more control over who you can meet” | Azar: optional premiums with additional gender and country filters. CR Video Chat sells in-app purchases. |
Both have iPhone and Android apps, which LivU does not. The way you meet people differs: Azar says you “only move forward when you both agree”, and CR Video Chat lets you browse who is online.

Translation differs a lot between apps – subtitles for speech, translated messages or an upgrade perk. Our page on video chat apps with translation compares exactly what each one says it translates.
For one-on-one video, Azar and CR Video Chat both have App Store apps. If translation matters most, YOYO (Featured) describes real-time translation; Kiss Live Chat (Featured) also runs in the browser.
Not one that matches every feature. Azar comes closest on mutual matching, translation and paid filters; Camfrog is closer for slower, contact-approved friendships.
Azar says video is paused when its automated tools detect content that goes against its community guidelines. That is not the same as LivU’s blur at the start of every chat.
Kiss Live Chat runs on the web and iPhone; YOYO is an iPhone app.
